Eligibility for MBA - Admission

A pass in a recognised Bachelor's degree of minimum 3 years duration and obtained at least 50 % (45 % in the case of candidates beloging to reserved category) in the qualifying degree examination

(a) 10+2+3 Years Pattern

(or)

(b) 10+3 years Diploma + 3 Years Pattern

(or)

(c) B.E./B.TECH./B.Arch./B.Pharm

(or)

(d)(i) 10+2+AMIE*

(or)

(ii) 10+3 years Diploma (awarded by he State Board of Technical Education) + AMIE.*

Admission Test

All candidates seeking admission to MAMBS are required to appear for the TANCET conducted by ANNA UNIVERSITY in March 2014 or Consortium of Self-financing Professional, Arts & Science Colleges in Tamilnadu Exam.

Policy on Ragging

Anti Ragging clause under UGC Regulations 2009 - Ragging is totally prohibited in the M.A.M. School of Business, and anyone found guilty of ragging and/or abetting ragging, whether actively or passively, or being a part of a conspiracy to promote ragging, is liable to be punished in accordance with these Regulations as well as under the provisions of any penal law for the time being in force.

Curriculum

First year courses are compulsory for all students. These courses provide basic conceptual knowledge and inculcate attitudes and skills necessary for managerial effectiveness.

In the second year, students will be offered elective courses. These help hone students' basic analytical skills as well as help build an overall business perspective. A wide variety of latest courses in Finance, Human Resources, Marketing and Systems help the students focus on their desired/ chosen area(s) of specialization. Overall, the curriculum demands long hours of work and calls for sustained commitment from students.

Main Project & Summer Project

Summer Training is scheduled for four weeks before the reopening date of 3rd semester. Students have to undergo internship in reputed companies and submit a training report containing the details of training undergone, the departments wherein he was trained with duration (chronological diary), along with the type of managerial skills developed during training.

In the fourth semester all students will have to carry out their research work, at Companies, Service Providers or Financial Institutions of their choice. On successful completion of the training, the student is required to make a presentation, and submit a project report which is evaluated for the award of the degree.

Orientation Programme

M.A.M. School of Business organizes a one day orientation programme on the first day of reopening, for the incoming new batch. This programme of preparation is necessary before students can begin their regular semester. Participation is compulsory for all students. The exact dates will be intimated to the selected student community at the appropriate time.

Placement & training Cell

MAMBS has initialized processes for a placement and training cell headed by an experienced faculty member. In-plant training and industrial visits for all students are regular features. Seminars and guest lectures on specialized areas like communication skills, presentation techniques-oral and written, resume writing, personality development, and participation in group discussions, effective methods of facing interviews are arranged periodically.

The students coming from rural atmosphere have benefited greatly by the training in these skills. Leading companies often show interest in campus interviews for students in view of their academic performance as well as their all round proficiency and achievements in professional and in co-curricular / extracurricular areas.

The P & T efforts are to achieve a goal of students getting 100% employed before passing out of the college. We are also part of the overall placements efforts by IECPCT (Inter Engg. College Placement Cell Trichy). The placement cell will conduct mock group discussions and personality development programme for the development of students.

IT Center

1. Institution is well connected with the internet through 8 mbps internet connectivity provided by BSNL

2. Wi-fi connectivity is enabled for the students to access internet anywhere in the campus using their laptops

3. Internet lab is opened for 24 hours for the benefit of students and staff.
